Remembering…
Memorial day May 25 2020I bow to the earth, saying thank you for another day on sacred ground.
I pause and reflect and remember… all those ancestors that came before me and made sacrifices so that I can be here now.
I remember all those who gave their lives, so that the people may live.…so that the next seven generations may see another tomorrow.
Thank you to all those whose service made our lives a little easier.
Because of them, today, I have freedom of choice of where I live, where I pray and where I roam. My heart is filled with gratitude.
Upon this fragile planet, we are now living a new era… a time of “sheltering in place” and “social” distancing.
I am stop and I remember…
This is a time where we are bearing witness to unseen waves of grieve sweep across the lands. An ocean of deep sorrow permeates the world as our relatives cross over into the next world.
So on this day of remembering, I bow my head and honor those who are leaving this world…those who are dying from this Covid 19 virus….and those who are left behind. I pray for those who are suffering alone….may they not be forgotten.
OH Holy sacred waters, of birth and death, I cry out to you.
Let us feel your living waters, sooth our broken hearts…
purify and sanctify all beings….May your soothing waters help us to heal the sorrow and the pain.
May this blood of Mother earth, flow through us to a place of serenity and peace.
Help this planet honor and remember all those departing this world as we hold hands and hearts for a time of healing and hope.
Oh, Blessing waters of Life, rejuvenate and cleanse our bodies, our minds and our souls. Help us connect to the Source from which we come.
May the Water song of creation flow through us…
