my Ode to Mother Earth

dear, Pachamama, Unci Maka, Mother Earth, 

you are my Mother! 

I bow to your earth body…
 and all that you give to us…..to all living entities…

thank you for this  life force which flows through the Universe and beyond.

Thank you for the One-leggeds..the tree of Life and all the many shapes and varieties across this planet we call Home… to the four corners of the World.

thank you for the oxygen you give us…for shelter…shade…fuel…fruit…clothing…medicine and Beauty.

thank you for the Living waters that nurture the lands….the oceans that are home to so many creatures, large and small…

to all the crystal lakes high in the mountains… 
to the rivers that flow into Source…
and the waterfalls that capture our imagination…
holy wells across the earth…
thank you for all these healing waters that nurture, cleanse, purify, quench, and bless our bodies and spirits.

thank you for the rain forests that are the lungs of the earth and for countless creatures of jungle and Her ecosystem…

for the amazing birds of the sky, sea and land…
for all the winged-ones…butterflies, dragonflies, honey bees and hummingbirds.  
Thank you the four winds of the circle of life.. 
for the Cosmos and stars nations and beyond our naked eye….

and for our holy breath.

Precious Mother Earth, hear our cries….forgive us for our mistakes and harmful consumption and ignorance.  Help us live in better balance with you and in sacred relationship.  My heart has broken open so many times by witnessing the abuse and disrespect we as humans have done to you….please forgive us…forgive me.

Thank you for the thousands of species of four-leggeds…
the wild wolves of the tundra and the forests….
the gentle giants turtles of the sea… 
the magnificent elephants of the Sahara….
the wild horses of the plains… 
and the guardian bears of the land.

Your beauty is profound and touches our minds, bodies, spirit and hearts…

I am grateful for the endless times I have experienced in your wild and natural world around the globe.
thank you for healing me…..allowing me to experience and witness the  
beauty the cactus blooms of the desert… 
climb to the glaciers in the sacred mountains of Alaska…
pray in the jungles of the Amazon…
cry at the base of Spider Rock in Canyon De Chelly
participate in a despacho ceremony in the ancient temples of the Machu Picchu…
connect to spirit through the plant medicine in Brazil…

to be blessed by the thousand gods/goddesses of Indonesia and witness the rice fields of Bali and climb the steps to pray at the Mother temple of Mt. Agung.

To soak in the deep turquoise skies of the Caribbean and Hawaii.
I am forever changed.

thank you for allowing me to exchange energy with a single rose bloom in my yard and remember the sacredness of life.

Your holy places around the world, have called my name and everywhere I’ve seen your power and witnessed your beauty. Today I know, every place is sacred…your lands are sacred. Life is sacred.

Thank you for the holy fires….the places where lava flow and new earth is created…for the Sun that rises and sets each day….bringing me a new beginning.

There is a holy fire that glows within my heart.

Thank you to all the stone people….the grandfathers which carry the wisdom of the earth…

thank you for the holy sites of pilgrimage and to all the ancestors who are looking this way and helping us from the other world.

Thank you for your endless guidance and your healing presence.  

You are my Mother…Mother of all things…
I bow to you with deep gratitude and love,
I love you, precious Mother Earth!
